Punks
The punk is a noble creature. Or at least it used to be until it got hijacked by corporate bullshit and young pretenders.
Why noble?
Because they had a belief, they fought the power and continued striving for better.
The original British punks like the Sex Pistols defined a generation of outcasts in 80's Britain.
Gave them a voice against Thatchers harsh Conservative politics of the day.
I may not agree with their beliefs but I agree with their passion, their truth and honour.
Modern emo culture has borrowed much form the old school punks of bygone days but they have none of the same political or cultural impact. In fact if you asked an emo what a punk was or represented they'd probably mention something about guitars and music. Perhaps even "gritty lyrics". Little realising how naive they really are.
